Eric Meermann, CFP®, AVA, joined Palisades Hudson Financial Group LLC as an associate in 2000 after graduating from New York University’s Stern School of Business with a degree in Finance and International Business. Eric became a Palisades Hudson client service manager in 2004. He is based in the Scarsdale office.

Eric has had extensive experience in the firm’s investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax compliance practices. He is also the lead manager for our firm’s business valuation practice, and holds the Accredited Valuation Analyst designation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, of which he is a member. Eric also is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. Eric acts as the Chief Compliance Officer for our registered investment advisor, Palisades Hudson Asset Management, L.P.

Eric has written several articles for Sentinel, including “Timberland Investments Can Diversify Portfolio” (June 2005); “Hedging Concentrated Equity Positions” (April 2004), “Valuation Cases Involving FLPs Bring Mixed Results” (October 2003),“Are Sector Funds A Good Idea?” (June 2002), and “Planning Can Reduce Mutual Fund Tax Bite” (October 2001). Eric also co-authored “Japan: Recovery Or?” (January 2004) with Paul Jacobs.
