Paul Jacobs, CFP®

Paul Jacobs joined Palisades Hudson Financial Group LLC as an associate in 2002 and became a client service manager in 2006. He began his career in the Scarsdale office and transferred to Fort Lauderdale, where he presently is based, when he became a manager.

Paul graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business with degrees in Finance and Accounting. While he attended NYU, Paul won the 2001 Deloitte & Touche/NYU Stern School of Business Tax Tournament. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Broward County.

Paul has had extensive experience in the firm’s investment management and tax compliance practices. His primary responsibilities include developing and monitoring client portfolios, managing trading operations and regulatory filings for Palisades Hudson Asset Management, L.P., reviewing tax strategies and returns for clients, and developing comprehensive personal financial plans. Paul also is a member of the firm’s investment committee, a supervising equity analyst, and has worked on projects involving accounting, retirement planning, and estate administration.

Paul is the author or co-author of numerous Sentinel articles including “Lessons from the 2000-2007 Market Cycle” (June 2007); “A Fundamentally Better Stock Index?” (January 2007); “Do Your Hedge Funds Homework” (October 2005); “Mortgage Refinancing Made Easy” (June 2004); “Japan: Recovery Or?” (January 2004), and “Hard Assets For Soft Economic Times” (April 2003).
