It takes more than just financial talent to operate a high-end wealth management practice these days. Recent additions to our team include a sociology-anthropology major, a graphic designer, an editor and — because financial talent still matters a lot — a business major, too.
Michael DiCosimo is a client service associate in our Fort Lauderdale office. He joined our staff after earning his bachelor of science in business administration last May from the University of Florida. Michael, 22, attended high school in Harrisburg, Pa. During college breaks, he interned at Office Depot’s headquarters and with a wealth management firm in Pennsylvania. He also participated in the Florida Leadership Academy program, and was active in the student investment club and as an officer of his fraternity.
Amy Laburda, 26, became an administrative associate in May 2010, and is based at our headquarters in Scarsdale, N.Y. A 2007 graduate of Sarah Lawrence College in nearby Bronxville, Amy edits our daily Current Commentary website feature, along with many other articles and reports. She also coordinates our staff’s extensive travel and answers the firmwide telephone system, in which calls can be answered and transferred over the Internet to any of our three offices. Amy grew up in Indianapolis.
Catherine Collier, 23, recently joined our Atlanta staff as a financial planning assistant. Cathy grew up in Radford, Va., and attended nearby Washington and Lee University. She was a varsity competitor on both the cross country and track and field teams in high school and college. She graduated from Washington and Lee last May with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology.
Our firm wasted no time putting the design talents of Ashley Dandridge to good use. Ashley, 21, has redesigned our business cards and developed several recruiting and marketing materials since she joined the Scarsdale staff this summer as a part-time office assistant. A native of the Bronx, Ashley is working on a master’s degree in media and communication arts at Pace University. She earned her bachelor of arts in communication studies from Manhattanville College in May 2011.
